Wordless Wednesday : La Trattoria on Norton

Wordless Wednesday : La Trattoria on Norton

Boyo announced during our planning-for-the-weekend session that he wanted to go out to dinner at a fancy restaurant.  La Trattoria on Norton it is!  Despite being an Italian restaurant, i’s a great restaurant for an onions-and-garlic allergic Kimba to eat at, because so many things are cooked fresh to order.

See, real tablecloths.  Told you it was a fancy restaurant.

Boyo and his Mama.  Guess which one of us did their hair?

The blokefolk started with some garlic bread – would you like some bread with your garlic?

I had The. Most. Amazing. Duck. Confit with spinach and black cherries.  Garlic free too.  Well, there was an unfortunate incident with the spinach but it was cheerfully and efficiently replaced.  With a personal apology and a smile.

The Welshman enjoyed a glass of wine.   He’s a most charming and erudite dinner companion.

Boyo is a big fan of Italian gelato.  He’s enjoying classic vanilla bean and chocolate.  Old school.

Check out that dude.  He styled himself for his dinner at a fancy restaurant.  Even down to the pose.  He is so my son.

Tthat last photo made me laugh, the man about town, what a dude! The duck looks delicious, but there’s not much bread on that garlic!!

Oh, it’s still making me laugh, that photo! Still dreaming of the duck, and recoiling in horror from the garlic bread!

duck looks awesome. We are nearly at the point when we can take our little one to resatuants again – maybe not quite as fancy as this one though

The duck was heavenly. This one is an Italian family-run restaurant where the staff actually took the time to talk to the kids. Lots of hugs and hair ruffles. And highchairs too! 5.30 booking did the trick – give it a go! :)

Oh how delicious did that Duck look…
The Boyo on the other is so cool.
    Glad you enjoyed it.

    Thanks for linking up Kimba!
