Wordless Wednesday : Blue Mountains Xmas in July

Wordless Wednesday : Blue Mountains Xmas in July

A last minute dash to a party supply warehouse supplied these little Xmas in July sparkly beauties.

Flying Fox in the Blue Mountains – every little boy’s dream holiday!

The beautiful Blue Mountains, the perfect destination for Xmas in July

Stargazing in the Blue Mountains – absolutely beautiful night skies but very hard to photograph!

Can’t have Xmas in July without Xmas crackers!

What stories do your photographs tell?

Thank you, Trish. Like the name change, although it may take me a while to remember! :)

Our family haven’t celebrated christmas in July for a long time. I think it’s a fabulous tradition though and these photos show just how wonderful it can be!

It basically started as an excuse for a mid winter weekend away but we love all the extra Xmas bits, like crackers and plum duff and turkey … and presents! :)

I love Christmas in July. I wish we celebrated it more often.

I was up in the Blue Mountains recently and just didn’t get the whole Christmas in July thing… until my Queenslander husband explained that it’s too hot here at xmas to eat all the traditional foods so it’s best to feast again in the cold. I get it now… and clearly you do too cause it looks like your family had a great time! I

Yup, a roast turkey just tastes better when it’s cold outside and the fire is on! My husband and our friends are British, so they appreciate a nice cold Xmas. It was lots of fun and highly recommended!

This looks like so much fun! I am going to ponder this idea for next year. Mulled wine, turkey, bread sauce, yorkshire puds… oh it could be so delightfully English! Yes yes…. thinking thinking…

Cute post! Boyo sure looks like you!

It was so much fun. We’re booking the same place for next year’s Xmas in July!

He does look like me, but he looks much more like the Welshman. Boyo has my eyes and my skin but the rest of him is pure Daddy. They even walk the same way and sleep the same way. Cute!

I love these beautiful pictures Kim-Marie, and it looks like you had an amazing time away. I love the Blue Mountains, the air is so fresh and it’s a nice getaway X

Thanks, Ingrid. It was a fab time for two families to unwind. The eucalyptus air helped my poor old sinuses no end too!
