I’m linking up with the delightful Lauren at The Surprise Beginning for her Really Really Ridiculously Good Looking Monday blog hop. Why don’t you link up a post about fashion or beauty and show off your best Blue Steel!
Naturally, I wore jeans, but not just any jeans. I wore a pair of the truly magical NYDJ Janice skinnies in that most flattering of denim colours, dark indigo.
I teamed them with a favourite striped merino sweater dress, purchased last year from Ezibuy, and this winter’s favourite Seed Femme ankle boots. I accessorised with Mimco number pendants – nine is my lucky number, and three symbolises our little family. The Lloyd Baker studded cobalt leather bag was picked up two years ago on our last UK visit in TK Maxx for an absolute song. You just never know what you’ll find in TK Maxx and that’s half the fun!
Although the weather is getting warmer in Sydney, it’s still chilly in the mornings and evenings, so I chucked on my vintage Morrissey leather cropped jacket, bought for $20 from Rozelle Markets. I’ve customised it with Liberty London floral buttons from the same UK trip. I didn’t have much spending money left, or much room to cart back treasures by this time, so I stocked up in the haberdashery department.
Liberty London is my Mecca. As they say themselves:
Liberty is one of the last great emporiums for innovative and eclectic design. Situated in the heart of London since 1875, it remains to this day the destination of choice for the savvy and sophisticated shopper.
At Liberty, a rich heritage combines with the cutting edge and avant-garde, making each visit a voyage of discovery and excitement. We hope you will be inspired and delighted by our carefully selected offering of beautiful and luxurious products. We welcome you into our eccentric, indulgent and utterly charming world, and invite you to get truly lost in Liberty.
That’s what I wore this weekend – tough leather with pretty buttons, classic favourites, with a splash of colour!
