Fox in Flats : Breakfast at Tiffany’s Dare

The fabulous Andrea from Fox in Flats has been at it again, setting one of her famous patented Style Dares. The latest one is called The Breakfast at Tiffany’s Dare and is particularly close to my heart, as Breakfast at Tiffany’s is my absolute favourite movie of all time.

There is no way Andrea from Fox in Flats is going to get to call me a chicken for failing the Red Lipstick Dare Round 2. I didn’t do so well with the 2011 Red Lipstick Dare – a little matter of being ill with flu and looking far too hideous to consider sharing my photographs.

The fabulous Andrea from Fox in Flats recently issued another Style Dare – wear flowers for the Fox in Flats Flower Dare every day for a week or be branded a chicken. As a Fox in Flats Top 50 Style Blogger, I have standards to uphold and I wasn’t going to let her call me chicken! Bok, bok, bok …
Luckily. my wardrobe is stuffed full of floral delights, so it wasn’t too difficult to fly the floral flag for the Fox in Flats Flower Dare.

I was so excited last weekend when the amazing Andrea from the fabulous Fox in Flats posted some sneaky teasers on Twitter and Facebook about the next Style Dare.
I’m a big fan of the Fox in Flats Style Dare. I am one of the Fox in Flats Top 50 Style Dare Bloggers. Mostly, I’ve loved the experience. Sparkle Dare, Vintage Dare, Hair Dare? All over them! The Black Out Dare almost broke me at the time, but I’ve actually found myself buying more classic pieces in black lately. Go figure!

I’ve even been lucky enough to contribute to the fabulousness that is Fox in Flats, and it was Andrea’s encouragement and “get on with it, woman” attitude that made me start my own little piece of the internet, which you’re reading right now.

I’ve absolutely loved participating in the Style Dares so far. So much fun!

Today’s Fox in Flats Sparkle Dare outfit features Condom Dress Mania again, this time in Marine.
I wore a Country Road silk-trimmed cape T-shirt in Tomato with the aforementioned Seed Femme condom dress in Marine, Union Jack jandals from Accessorize, Morrissey crystal pendant, and a very Sparkle Dare-worthy Alannah Hill hairbow. Plus my every day sparkles, my Skagen stainless steel watch, my Elsa Peretti Tiffany bangle and my pave diamond heart wedding earrings – a gift from the Welshman.

I teamed vintage Ferragamo sparkly lavender suede flats with a Seed Femme black “condom dress”, a wrist stack of various parentage, Target shiny satin striped top and Valley Girl cropped glittery jacket.

Day 3 of the Fox in Flats Sparkle Dare felt like a dress up day to me! I teamed a very sparkly sequinned hairbow with agate drop earrings, faceted glass beads, a crystal bracelet, a Leona wrap dress and a frilled petticoat. The piece de resistance was my favourite accessory – tights! I added a pair of black fishnet tights with silver glitter. As you do!
One of my friends told me that her mum saw me on the school run and thought I was off to a wedding. Um, no, just work but adding a little sparkle to your day always helps with that particular situation! x
