I am a very girly girl who has always loved clothes and style and shoes and accessories and handbags and hats and hair accessories and jewellery and makeup and skincare and perfume and all the other lovely lady accoutrements.  Well, with the exception of nails.  Nails and I have never been BFFs.

Kimba Likes Shop Me Chic : A Chic Pink Ribbon Week

Kimba Likes Shop Me Chic : A Chic Pink Ribbon Week

My friends Melinda and Sonia at Shop Me Chic celebrated Pink Ribbon Day last week with their very own Twitter and Instagram hashtag #AChicPinkRibbonWeek.  They invited people to wear a pop of pink every day for a week and share the results on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag to raise awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Of course, I was all over it like pink icing on a cupcake!  Here’s my week of pink for A Chic Pink Ribbon Week.

Frocktober : Day 30

Frocktober : Day 30

Frocktober Day 30 and Sydney turned on a little sunshine to try and cheer up this grumpy girl with a sprained back.  There were a few challenges in putting together today’s outfit.  I needed a dress that would cover my rather attractively taped back, yet also work with supportive flat shoes.  As I’m unable to lift my arms over my head, I also needed a suitably large and bonkers hair accessory to disguise the fact that I haven’t washed my hair since Saturday.  Ewwwww.

Frocktober : Day 24

Frocktober : Day 24

Frocktober Day 24 and the sun is shining in the sky.  Now, this is spring!  I’m keeping it pretty in pink for Pink Ribbon Week with some sheer fuchsia pink Jonathan Aston tights with my classic black and white frock.  With all that colour going on, I went with a nude lip today.  There is a thing as too much, even for me!

Frocktober : Day 23

Frocktober : Day 23

Frocktober Day 23 and I dressed for winter in a woollen Leona Edmiston frock.  I was so cold yesterday and couldn’t bear the thought of another freezing day in what is supposed to be spring (yes, I know it rains in springtime, but hail is not usual).  I want daffodils and gambolling lambs and drifting cherry blossom and wafting jasmine.  Not bloody hail!

Frocktober : Day 22

Frocktober : Day 22

Frocktober Day 22 is also Pink Ribbon Day, so I’ve pinked it up a little bit.  Alarmingly, it also appears to be winter again in Sydney.  It was quite chilly today, particuarly after the glorious weekend weather, and even decided to rain on our parade.  At 9am and 3pm, obviously.

Ruby Olive : Thank You, Shop Me Chic!

Ruby Olive : Thank You, Shop Me Chic!

The lovely girls at Shop Me Chic rewarded me with a $50 gift voucher to spend at the divine Ruby Olive, a fabulous online jewellery store.  Such a lucky girl!

How did I get so lucky?  Easy peasy lemon squeezy.  I won their competition to name Shop Me Chic’s lovely logo girl.  Have you met Lola?  She’s a little bit cheeky yet very chic!  Thanks so much, Melinda and Sonia!

I checked my mailbox daily and to my great delight my Ruby Olive gift voucher turned up, complete with beautifully handwritten note – I do love that!  I hit Ruby Olive’s lovely online store.   Oh, decisions, decisions, decisions!

Let me tell you a little bit about Ruby Olive.  Actually, I’ll  let them tell you!

But wait, there’s more! Please click here to read more.
