One of the Gorgeous Girls, Linda, recently celebrated her 40th birthday.  In true Linda style, this involved elaborate costumes, the most divine hand made invitations, more food and alcohol than probably strictly necessary, over 100 friends getting their party on and a whole heap of fun!  I heard a rumour that the boys in blue even paid a 4am visit.

The piece de resistance was the Bollywood flash mob performed by nine friends, including moi.  One Champagne-fuelled Xmas gathering of the Gorgeous Girls found us all gathering again in January to learn an intricate Bollywood flash mob dance, choreographed by the fabulous Tracy.

We practised our little hearts out and finally the day of the event loomed.  I’m sure I wasn’t the only one on edge all. day. long!

A big Jai Ho to Lisa, sister of the birthday girl, who supplied many of the saris, costumes, decorative ribbon and jewellery; designed the most amazing Ganesh chalk drawing for the wall, was a Jai Ho Girl and sorted the playlist to boot!

Happy, happy birthday, Linda!  You were the consummate hostess, totally rocked your two fabulous outfits and absolutely pwned Chris on air guitar!  I’m very proud to call you my friend.  Love you lots and here’s to the next 40 years!
